The Aging and Disability Resource Center of the Area Agency on Aging includes assistance with benefit screening through the BenefitsCheckUP and application assistance for enrollment in benefits.  This service helps seniors and disabled adults identify and apply for government and private benefits that they are eligible to receive, but have not been receiving. The service is simple, free and confidential.

You can receive a Benefits CheckUp by contacting the Area Agency on Aging or take advantage of a free on-line screening. The BenefitsCheckUp can provide:

  • A personalized report with detailed descriptions of public programs, services, resources and benefits (i.e. prescription drugs, Medicare extra help, energy assistance, etc.) you may be eligible to receive
  • Materials and help completing forms to help you apply for each program
  • Local contacts for additional information
